ABOUT
Sam Hale Plumbing updates this card as the job moves. It shows what has happened, not what time anyone will arrive.
The detail, on the back. Like a ticket.

Why a card

  • One per joblike a ticket
  • Beside their bank cardwhere they already look
  • Will change as the job movesonce Apple signs it: not yet
  • Scan itthe page opens

The card is built. Apple's developer enrolment went through on 21 October; the signing certificate is the next step, and then it goes in wallets. Google Wallet is not started.

Either end, any job

Today you send the link. Tomorrow you wait in. Next.

  • Either end. Any job. Today you send the link. Tomorrow you are the one waiting in — for a delivery, a mate, the engineer. Same page, other chair.
  • One address, whoever is home. Two or three people who can open the door. The house answers, not one phone.

After that

Not built yet, and marked so. You vote on the order, in the app.

  • A dot on a map, while you drive. Only while you are on your way, only to that customer, gone the moment you arrive.
  • The same card on Android. Google Wallet, once Apple’s is signed.
  • Speaks your industry’s stages. RIBA 0–7. Building control inspections. PAS 2035 retrofit. Conveyancing A–F. Pick the template; the card speaks the language.
  • Finished, photographed, reviewed. Photos of the work when it is done, and the review asked for at the right moment.
  • From the dash, not the phone. Navigate to the address, then On my way, On site, Paused, Done — on CarPlay, in the van. Or say it to Siri.
  • Same in the car, on Android Auto. The map underneath, Navigate on top, the four buttons beside it. Whatever van, whatever phone.
  • A record of your home. Everything done to the house, by whom, when, with the certificate and the photos. Kept with the address, not lost in an inbox.
  • Quote. Book. Do. Invoice. The link grows into the job itself: the quote they accepted, the day, the bill, the next service due. One place, for a one-van firm.
  • Done. Paid. Receipt kept. The bill on the same page as the job, settled with Apple Pay or a card the moment it says Job done. A deposit at booking if you take one. The receipt stays with the job.
  • Pickup here. Drop-off there. Removals, returns, a courier. Two ends, each with its own “will someone be in?”

What it will never do

  • It never invents a time.No countdown. No “with you in 20 minutes”.
  • It never shows a time you have not agreed. Two people agree a window, or it is not shown.
  • It never puts their details on a forwarded link.Which door, the dog, who is in: between you and them.
  • It never shows a button that does nothing.A row is there because it works. No “tap to change” that cannot.

It runs for one plumbing firm while it is made properly. Get on the list and watch your card build as you go.
